Plymouth Digital Services free website design FAQ for Plymouth businesses

Free Website Design In Plymouth, Explained Simply

This FAQ explains what “free website” means in practice, what you pay for, and what’s included in the standard build. People usually ask about domain ownership, hosting, edits after launch, and email, so you’ll find those answers here too.

If you’re a Plymouth business and you want a quick, straight answer before you start, you’re in the right place.

What Does Free Website Design Mean

You don’t pay a separate website build fee for the standard package. You buy your domain and hosting from me, and I design and build the website as part of that setup. That keeps everything in one place and avoids the usual back and forth between different companies.

What Do I Pay For

You pay for your domain name and your hosting. Domain is £20 per year. Hosting is £59 per year. The standard website build is included with that, up to five pages.

What’s Included In The Standard Website

The standard build includes up to five pages, which is enough for most Plymouth service businesses. A typical setup is a Home page, one to three service pages, an About page if you need it, and a Contact page that makes it easy to call or request a quote. If you need extra pages or a more complex setup, I’ll quote it before I start.

Do I Own My Domain Name And Website

Yes. The domain is registered to you, and your website runs on your hosting. If you ever want to move, you can take your domain and website with you.

Can I Update The Website Myself

Yes. You’ll get a secure login so you can update text, swap images, and keep details current. If you’d rather stay hands off, I can handle updates for you so you don’t have to worry about it.

Do You Only Work With Plymouth Businesses

Plymouth is my base and most of my clients are local. I also work with businesses across Devon and Cornwall, and I take on UK projects too. You still deal with me directly either way.

Will I Get A Business Email Address

Yes. Your hosting includes unlimited email addresses on your domain, like [email protected]. I can set up the main ones for you and show you how to use them.

How Many Pages Do I Get And What Counts As A Page

You get up to five pages included in the standard build. A page is a normal web page like Home, Services, About, Pricing, Privacy Policy, Terms Of Use, or Contact.

If you want extra service pages, location pages, or long-form content, that’s fine. I’ll price the additional work based on what you need and how much content it involves.

What Do You Need From Me To Get Started

I’ll need your business details, what you offer, your service area, and any photos or logos you want to use. If you don’t have wording yet, I can help you shape it so it’s clear for customers and fits what people search for in Plymouth.

How Long Does Free Website Design Take

Timeframes depend on how quickly you send your text, images, and business details. If you’re ready to move, most small business sites can be designed and built quickly without dragging on.

If you’re not sure what to provide, I’ll guide you through it and keep the steps clear. The aim is a smooth launch, not a drawn-out project.

What Support Do I Get After The Site Goes Live

If you get stuck, message me and I’ll help you get back on track. If you want regular updates done for you, the management plans cover that, but they’re optional.

Do You Offer Ongoing Updates And Support

Ongoing management is optional. You don’t have to buy a plan, and you can run your website yourself using your secure login.

If you’d rather send changes over and have me handle them, you can choose one of two yearly options. Full management with up to 12 updates per year is £79 per year, or full management with up to 24 updates per year is £99 per year.

What About SEO And Google Visibility

SEO work is optional. You can edit page titles, meta descriptions, and other basics yourself in your website control panel, and many clients do.

I still build pages with a clean structure so they’re easy to understand for both visitors and Google. If you want me to do a fuller SEO setup as an add-on, I can handle page titles, meta descriptions, heading checks, internal linking checks, and image alt text on the pages included in the build.

Is There A Contract Or Minimum Term

There’s no long lock-in just to ask questions or get started. Domain and hosting are billed yearly, and you can choose what works for you.
